Well, this long weekend is over and it's back to the grind. I had a lovely weekend with Autumn exploring all the splendors of Orlando...well basically a tour of every college housing project, trip to a mall that looks like disney, and the forty year old virgin. Not to mention healthy food galore. It was good to see my Autumn-pie.

School is going pretty good thus far. I'm making myself a solemn swear that I will get on the dean's list again this semester. I know I can do it. I turned in my first paper of the semester today and not to brag, but it was freaking good. But then again, everyone tries super hard in the beginning of the semester. I'm keeping up. Even with math. I've done all my homework and things are lookin' good.

I've also had some time this semester to pleasure read, which has been a rarity in my life as of late. I just finished "The Bell Jar" by Slyvia Plath. A classic, that I was way behind in reading. It was pretty good. Next I'm on to Toni Morrison's "Tar Baby" which was recommended by a friend. I want to go back to Chamblins. It's this used bookstore here that is tiny but packed to the brim with books. Any book you can imagine, they have. The best part is that it's all used which equals cheap which is always good.

In other news, Kate Trebby, mah bay-beeee, left on Sunday for a whole semester in Spain. I'm extremely jealous but I know she's going to have crazy amounts of fun and encounter tons of hot sexy latino men. I'm keeping your room warm for you, roomie!

Even though things are going pretty good I can't help but be bummed about all these hurricane victims. I just watched Oprah and I just kept crying seeing all those people sick and dying and nobody doing anything. All the babies and old people and poor dogs and cats. People's lives just being totally and utterly ruined. I can't even begin to fathom that scene. It makes me really sad, and angry and really fortunate to have what I have. It's just so terrible, I can't stop thinking about it.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing good with starting college and doing other things.
Love you guys!
