ok, new idea!
I say we start a campaign to have the following amended to all state constitutions:
"civil unions will be entitled to the same rights, benefits, and responsibilities as marriage and shall hereto garner those self-same rights, benefits and responsibilties as outlined in all legal declorations referencing marriage, spouse, widdow, widdower, husband and or wife as well as all other legal declorations applicable to marriage and the participants there in."
Then the church can have their marriage and the gay people can have their rights!
