Ok, I was in a decent mood the last week, then, this week hit and holy shit, it does a complete 180 and destroys everything. My life is currently in ruins (not like ruins after a nuclear blast where nothing is around, but more like a war torn town in world war 2 kind of ruins). A lot can go wrong in such short of time.
For starters, my parents didn't send out two of my college applications! I was pretty stunned and angry, because, well, I'm basically either going to jump off a cliff if I don't get accepted anywhere, cause I am not doing another year of ACC, it's made me angrier than I was last year. They didn't send out my SUNY PURCHASE or my.......ITHACA!!!!!! applications. I have been pretty angry all week long, suffice to say I am not happy.
School's final week of regular classes is here and it's been a major freak week. My two rolls of film I had to get developed at Ritz in the mall were destroyed by the people who worked there. I came in and they said 'Oh yeah, like uh....sorry, we kinda messed them up'. Then they went on about how they weren't going to make me pay for them. 'Uh..yeah, course I'm not paying for them. You guys did it, not me' and I stormed out of there. I re-did both my shoots for the class and printed them, so it came out in the end, but still, you gotta see my shitty luck...
The computers here at ACC don't like me. I use AVID to edit my projects for Tv field, and, everytime I try, it does something to fuck it up. Yesterday, I wasted a hour anf a half just trying to get the damn program to capture just a second of footage, so I gave up and left, waiting to do it today, and on another computer. Monday was also pretty bad I remembered, but, it was only small things...so, if I can't remember them, no use in harping over it. Oh yeah, and Daytime Soiree didn't practice....and Clifton can't do the show. Not mad at the guys at all.....but, wish we could have a regular show and practice. It's been a long fucking time.
Movies: Kung Fu Hustle was a pretty enjoyable film. One of the most entertaining movies I've seen in a long time. 8/10. I've seen some movies on tv but there not worth getting into, they were mediocer at best.
I've written some new songs for my new project called GRINGO. The Terri Schiavo song, Properly remembering a man who had trouble properly remembering anything at all (songs about Ronald Regan, get it?), Happy Shinny People and Skank (which is about Skanks! Yeah!). So, this might be cool once we actually get together and practice.
New Benefit show! Ok, it's to benefit a woman in Greenfield trying to adopt a kid from Uganda. She needs to raise $15,000 and has raised like $3,500 so far. I am getting 7 bands to do the show, and, am trying to get a place right now. Here's who I want for the show: Daytime Soiree, Red Team, Parwana, Monkey Gone mad, Menace Society, Razorblade Inc. and Recon. Personally, I love the lineup and hope I can get them all. Oh yeah, and only 50% of this will be going to the family, the bands will be getting paid.
Filming for my new movie, Cimmeriaon, will start this weekend. I'll be doing a introductory shoot, so, I'll need a few volunteers (of which I got last time). My comp at home died so you'll need to call me at 692-2216 if you want to do it. And I'll be doing a new project with 12 short stories. What I'll do is ask 12 people to be different directors (people who want to direct, you know, give them a intro as to what it's like) and 12 different stories written by probably my bro and I. I'll keep you all posted on that.
I really wish all my friends got along. I hate hearing (or dishing out) backstabbing comments. But...teach his own, I guess. Later.
