El jay seems almost foreign to me now. I did spend some time today catching up on my friend's list. :)
Life is progressing rather quickly. The end of the semester is virtually around the corner, and so many changes will follow. I have an academic advising appointment next week. I am nervous! Graduating in four years is proving to be quite tedious, but I am determined to do so. After that, I am explicitly unclear. Haha.
Work is a daily struggle. I feel like it's taking a toll on my health, sleep-wise. I am still "tentatively" placed at 31st Ave. & Peoria, but I have a feeling it will become permanent. I have seen a ridiculous amount of acquaintances from my past throughout the last few weeks. From schools to churches to jobs to six degrees of Kevin Bacon.
My birthday celebration was really fun. I can still hold my booze like a gentleman. :) Thanks, Omar, for the beer! It has been my afternoon snack all week. I have also concocted the most delicious blended gin beverage. I wish more people appreciated gin so I could share my tasty wonder.
My family went in on the diaper bag I asked for. I got the navy blue pinstripe edition! I cannot wait to begin using it. Ava and I will be able to share a place to hold our essentials. Haha.
Sophie and I drove down to Tucson yesterday and carved pumpkins with my sister's kids. It was an enjoyable, spontaneous road trip. They're getting so old and tall. I feel like Great Uncle Mike.
I'm getting pretty excited about our home birth. I don't know if I mentioned that yet, but we're delivering at home. Our midwives are so supportive and personable. The experience will be so intimate and memorable.
Anyway, I'm off.
