Background:
Trisha @ fma wikiPersonality: Trisha is, in summary, the perfect shoe-in for the role of a picturesque mother.
Compassionate and kind-hearted, gentle and patient by nature, she demonstrates a naturally nurturing personality that makes for a very good foil for the role she fulfills well in canon: mother to Edward and Alphonse Elric. She is devoted to them and they are her world (along with the love of her life, Hohenheim) -- she takes great pains to raise her children with love, and it's seen in how utterly devoted they are to her long after her death and how they had no doubts that they were loved. She's always smiling, no matter what hardships befall them -- including her contraction of a terminal illness that was sweeping the region, or her beloved taking his leave from the family home in search of a way to find answers to the questions of his mortality -- or lack of, with no promise of when he would return to her and them.
She is an incredibly strong person; she doesn't waver when faced with this daunting task of raising two young boys on her lonesome, even while still quite young herself; she was only 21 when she gave birth to her first son and 26 when she met her unfortunate and early end succumbing to illness. She cared for the house and her children with diligence alone, seemingly unwilling to ever give up or let circumstances get her down no matter how troubling they might seem. She has a core of hope that drives her -- faith that there is meaning in everything, and that humans have the ability to endure, to learn and survive past even the worst hardships. That life is beautiful, worth cherishing and seeing through even in the toughest of times... It's this strength that kept her from faltering, even when she realized that her life would end before Hohenheim returned to her side and she would break her promise to outlast him.
Her faith and devotion had her looking longingly out the window, day after day, in hopes of seeing the man she loved coming home to her even as months, and then years passed by without so much of a word from him. It's arguable that she had kept some hope in her heart he would make it up to the very moment she took her last breath, believing any moment -- she would see that familiar head of blonde hair leaning over her or feel his hand over hers...
Cheerful and upbeat, she is extremely accepting and understanding, and has a playful streak -- fostering the smiles of those around her gives her happiness and fulfillment, even if some part of her is perpetually longing for the man who left her behind. Maybe she'll get her wish in Mayfield, despite that dream never coming true where it counted most at home where he belonged. ;(
Abilities: MAKES A MEAN PIE. ...No, Trisha doesn't have any special abilities aside from being an awesome Mommy. :>
Sample Entry: [Trisha is all smiles as she lays a kish pie out on the windowsill to cool, the phone tucked to her ear against her shoulder as she wipes her hands off on a dishtowel and goes about cleaning up the kitchen from her cooking exploits.]
I have to admit... I'm not used to a town quite so close or large as Mayfield! It's a change for me, and I'm sure it's a big change for a lot of you, too, hm?
There's one recipe I like to make when I'm feeling homesick. [she admits this a little sheepishly, laughing as if a tad embarrassed at her confession. the one she's got on her mind was his favorite.] I can almost feel the wind from the hills coming in the window! I know that seems a little silly, but... is there a recipe that makes you think of home too?
