Outlander Coming to Traditional TV in the UK
Outlander is coming to traditional television in the UK. Channel 4 has secured the linear broadcast rights to Starz’s time-travel drama for their digi-net More4 after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has learned. The show’s first season will launch on More4 later this month.
A fierce bidding war for Outlander broke out when the series hit the international market in late 2014/early 2015, which Amazon Prime Video UK eventually won. This deal between Channel 4 and Sony Pictures Television has no impact on Amazon Prime Video UK’s first window deal and they will air the third season within 24 hours of the U.S. broadcast later this year.
