Outlander at the WIN Awards
Last night, the winners of the Women's Image Network (WIN) Awards were announced. Outlander was nominated in a number of categories and won 3.
The lovely Caitriona Balfe scooped the award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. She was nominated for her stunning performance in "The Garrison Commander". The show itself won the Outstanding Drama Series category for that same episode. Writer Toni Graphia won Outstanding Show or Film Written by a Woman for her episode, "The Devil's Mark". Anne Kenney was nominated in that same category for "The Wedding". Anna Foerster was also nominated for her work on “The Wedding” in the Show/Film Directed by a Woman category, which was won by Helen Shaver for Vikings episode "The Upsurper" (Vikings is another of my fave shows, so I'm happy there too).
