i actually have no issue at all with the jesus allusions...i just wonder if some christians might be offended...but then again, maybe not, he's freakin' superman for cryin' out loud! haha

i remember another moment in the movie in the beginning where lex refers to superman as a God, after discussing prometheus for a bit

but i mean, with lois' essay "why the world doesn't need superman", and the immediate question whether the world needs a saviour, the movie's resounding answer is YES...what do u think? i don't think we need a Saviour, but saviours...but then again, wouldn't a saviour relinquish us from all duty? of course, i use "duty" provisionally...what does one mean by that? anyhow, i guess if a saviour only saved us conditionally, under certain rules and regulations, then that'd become duty? dear god, my brain is too fried for metaphysics...no more.

and yeah, the hair's a big part...but man, really, that cape work is brilliant! hahaha i can't honestly think of better cape work than the computer generated one in this movie...wait, it was computer generated, right? well, for the really majestic scenes at least, and boy did that cape look majestic!!!!!!
