i know i'm gonna get shat on for this...but, that paris hilton song ain't so bad!
i mean, there's the usual platter of criticisms ppl will launch into, such as:
1. she's just trying to be gwen stefani
2. she probably didn't even have any creative input on the song
3. with today's technology, they can make anybody's voice sound decent
and there will most definitely be the more stupid, more illogical criticism in the vein of:
1. she's a stupid blonde whore, therefore this music sucks
2. a billion variations of #1
when it comes right down to it, does it all even matter? probably not - unless u wanna convince urself there's "dignity" to be preserved in pop music...if u can ever properly define and defend dignity in music.
anyhow, if, let's say, gwen stefani was the singer on this track, i think the song would be getting less hate right now. or put nelly furtado on there and the boo birds wouldn't be out in full force - they'd still be there, but really, they're always there...haha
and geez...i'm gonna stop there...i was gonna write more but i just realized that i'm writing this to justify to myself why i like the goddamn song...which is unnecessary...haha
