DG picked up a book before dropping it down again. "Was that before or after you married Zero?" she asked. Ok, Mister Suspicious Cain might have given her the ok but who in the hell marries Zero? Keiran's a bitch, so how this woman any different?

Was she some kind of spy? Maybe she set this whole thing up! She knew Slater too!

"Before," Ellie answered her question, not showing any reaction to DG's sudden hostility. "My grandfather was dead a year before we married."

"Yeah... sorry. I guess your parents freaked when you told them who you were going to marry."

"My parents died when I was a child. I was brought up by my grandparents.

Honestly, I don't know what they would have made of it. They would have been concerned, I expect. I likely would have approached him quite differently." Would I? Certainly, I would have wrested him from Greta's firm grip.

"Do you still love him? He raped me, you know."

Ellie gave her a look that she couldn't entirely identify. "Yes. I'm sorry."

DG immediately backed off. "I wasn't there for most of it. Astral projection, I think it was. I only know it from Charmed. Never mind. Next thing I know I wake up all bruised and Wyatt's... more squirrelly about touching me than he ever was."

"Just wish you were normal."

"Yeah. Whatever that means. You... wish you were normal?"
