The missive she had sent to Gabriel Grey had been simple enough.

Dearest Brother,

I know our dealings have been few and far between.  However, I find myself in a bit of inconvenient trouble.  I doubt father would be very ( Read more... )

The small envelope had been delivered to his room shortly after his chat with Azkadellia. It was simply addressed 'Gabriel Grey', without any indication of who might have sent it. Immediately he had a fair idea of what the letter dealt with, given his current status within the castle. But he'd be damned if that first line didn't have him thinking he was high on some of Azkadellia's Vapors ( ... )

"It's good to see you well and whole, sweet brother." She smiled sweetly.

"It's a shame we seem to have lost touch with father. He used to do so well in keeping the family together. I doubt hes happy with the current situation I find myself in." Mielwynn leaned her head on Gaberiel's shoulder.

"Do you have any clue where the big Zilch is? I know he's in a prison orb. We have a plan to get him out in two days time. But we need to know where I have to steal him from." Her voice was so soft even Ransom, sitting on the other side of her, could barely hear. Even after she sent a small silencing spell over their table.

"I'll get in myself, but I need you to 'find' me and take me to an area of the castle seperate from the place he's being kept. As I'll be a lost, blind and senile old woman."

Despite the fact that he couldn't really hear what the two of them were talking about, he already knew. The rescue plan for Zero, which would be fun of itself. The fae was going to disguese herself in order to get inside and then she would work her magic, literally, and escape with the orb, or with Zero - he wasn't really sure at the moment, because she hadn't talked about it.

In reality he was wondering what his part in all of this was going to be. Clasping his hand around his drink he stared into it, allowing the chatter of the area around them to keep his ears from ringing, waiting for when he was n

Miel stroked Ransom's thigh under the table.

He was still pretty, and was a nicely aggressive fuck.

"I'll have my attentive grandson with me, watching over old, scatterbrained grandmum. He'll even raise a ruckus however minutes is needed after I wander off that poor grandmama is missing. She's blind, senile and ill, please help find her."

Miel grinned at Ransome and Grey. "Making my disappearance very noticeable, and thus so much less likely to be a set up. Because those who cause trouble don't try to call attention to themselves. Hopefully he'll also be an un-needed bodyguard and I will NOT have to port us all away and give up the game."

Because Miel had a capture orb all ready for replacing Zero's. One with the body of one of the gruesomely killed longcoats inside.

Gabriel glanced briefly at Ransom, noticing he was rather quiet. It was strange; he usually didn't shut up. But at least he didn't spew nonsense as badly as Dawson. Nevertheless, his attention returned to the supposed Fae as she laid her head upon his shoulder. Unfortunately he had no clue where Zero was being held. The Fae already had one up on him, he didn't even know the general was in a prison orb. Damn rescue crew had hidden all the evidence, save for a knife and some blood, of the battle ( ... )

"A day would be perfect, The ill will be stopping overnight on the 24th to be checked over and given any extra help until they reach the hospital. I'll be wearing the Laundresses outfit under my old woman outfit, with a cap. If you could leave a laundry basket in the nearest supply closet an older laundress will not draw the guards attention."

The guards rarely paid attention to the old women who worked in the 'bowels' of the castle unless they were particularly kind or chatty. It was the younger ones that caught their eyes. And her old woman peasant clothing would work in the basket to re-don the disguise. She can claim to have dropped her cane when she got lost when she was 'found' by Grey.

"You are a most kind and helpful brother. I'm certain Father would be proud of you. I'm certain we will pass on how you helped the family when next we see him."

Gabriel nodded as she spoke. The plan was practically flawless, given the trio each do their given jobs. The Fae had taken most of the brunt of the action, and that was perhaps for the best. The longcoat would've liked to participate more, but given his status within the castle, it wasn't possible. He was already at risk by helping out in even this miniscule way.

Then again, he was sure Cain would be too distracted by the mass numbers of ill to worry about a small old woman or some insignificant maid.

"You needn't worry, sister. You'll be well taken care of while you're in the castle. The laundry basket will be there, and I will be around to take you where you need to be," he assured her.
