Lay Hands Upon The Ill

May 10, 2008 17:48

Who: Peter, Az (some guard involvement to begin)
When: January 19th, dawn
Where: Az's room
What: Healing

It had taken a brainstorming session between Johnson and Sergei for the idea to be born. Princess Azkadellia needed to be seen by a Healer, every one of the guards had agreed heartedly. But her uncompromising stance that she wanted to be left alone in her room, except for the visit from Gabriel the night before, worried them. If she was allowed to wallow in her grief and guilt it would only do her more harm, so the idea of bowing to her wishes like they were technically supposed to was out of the question.

It had been Sergei who had had the flashbulb moment of inspiration. Both he and Johnson well knew that the first hour or so after she was woken, she tended to move around in a haze of sleepiness. So while it was not completely moral, they had decided to wake her far earlier than usual, inviting the Healer to be there just then. That way they could get her to agree to be Healed, with little to no arguments. It would be for her own good.

Neither man felt guilty for the manipulation.

Johnson had been released from his shift, although Sergei had had to argue with him for nearly a half hour to get him to leave the Princess. He had insisted that the other man go get some rest, see his husband, had even used the fact that Johnson and Dave had not seen more than a glimpse of eachother since the rescue party had returned. Grumbling and growling the other man had bowed to Sergei's logic and, after checking up once more on the sleeping Princess, left for his own quarters.

Chris had been sent to the room of the young man, Peter, to wake him and retrieve him. While Sergei woke Az, keeping her from ordering any coffee or any other stimulant, to keep her in a partially asleep state. Chris raised one hand and knocked on the door in front of him. "Sir?" He called. "Peter? Your assistance is needed with the elder Princess."
