Well,
I've ordered a Baladi Scimitar, a dancing sword, from Kult of Athena. The sword, on its own, does not actually dance. I do - with the sword on my head. Hopefully, I don't break a foot when I drop it or impale a dog or small child. Good thing I didn't get the sharp one.

Earth Day
In Baton Rouge, the Earth Day celebration was this past Sunday. Baton Rouge Belly Dance performed several pieces. I have three performances uploaded to our YouTube channel with many more still to post. I'm having software problem with my video editing program. As soon as that is straightened out, I'll get the rest up. I am the one in green.

This weekend I'm being adventurous. Get your mind out of the gutter (you know who you are).
I am enamored of a piece of music, so am attempting a candle dance to it at the campground. The music is the first part of this sword video I posted a while back.

WOOT!!!
WOOT!!! My dance top for my 13th Gate costume came in. I like it. It wraps around and ties in the back and has criss-cross straps across the back as well and dangly bits on the sleeves.
I put it on with my black dance pants and my corset belt that I started making on saturday and it all looks great. I can't wait for my glow-in-the-dark pink laces ( Read more... ) -
