The Eowyn Challenge

I know several of you on my flist are doing WW and are trying to get healthier through exercise or diet and exercise.  I am too, but the thing for me is it has to be fun or I'll eventually stop doing it, so I go around looking for fun ways to exercise.

I've been hitting the exercise bike in the morning because it is my most available time, but it ( Read more... )

WW was the only thing that worked well for me. Seriously. I pooh-poohed it for years and finally, I promised someone that I'd try it. I really didn't want to. But it worked and I lost 25 POUNDS!! It was actually quite easy. Granted, I HAVE gained back 10 of those pounds but that's my fault, I'm not on WW anymore, I got lazy. It's easy but... I'm apathetic at this point. I just need to stick with it. Right now, I just don't give a crap.

Exercise has been a hard thing for me to stick with. For almost a whole year, I walked 30-45 mins a day and then did crunches, etc for about 15 mins. Another routine was Dance Dance Revolution on Playstation 2. I DO like that, it's fun but the kids fight to play too and I don't get a full straight 30 minutes of cardio in when they are all clamoring for a turn. Heh. I've also been trying to get into yoga because most everyone who gets into it loves it and they don't want to quit.

Those walks sound awesome, though!

I did WW for a while. It worked really well, but when I started weight lifting again, the amount of protien I was eating blew the point system apart. Now I just watch what I eat and eat in moderation.

I did WW as well and did well with it (lost 20 lbs). I really need to kick myself back into following the points again. I *know* how to do it, I just lack the motivation. But I love WTR! And it's kept me moving for well over a year now, so that's some sort of record for me.
