I recently came somebody retweeting something on Twitter about reaching a particular age and resolving not to have opinions about books/authors they hadn't read.

I was just reading this piece that somebody linked to on Twitter, about men playing music at their objects of desire and (subtextually) desiring to convert them to as mad enthusiasts for whatever their fave is as they are.
I don't think this is just about the seduction ritual that the writer describes.
