What I read
Finished the re-read of the Society of Gentlemen series, including the additional bits and bobs.
Back to Warshawski: Brushback (2015), FallOut (2017) and Shell Game (2018). Realise that one of the things I like about this series is that people are not doing baroque serial killings for twisted psychopathic reasons: the murders are happening for reasons which may be evil and psycho/sociopathic but have down and dirty motivations in money-money-money/preservation of reputation/power/etc. (Take that, Alex Delaware!)
Discovered that Laurie R King has briefly, as in, it is a novella, returned to her long-abandoned series character Kate Martinelli, in Beginnings (2019). I thought it was a bit on the slight side, but maybe I need to re-read the earlier books, because it's been ages.
On the go
Have rather recursively got back to the very latest Paretsky, Dead Land (2020).
Still keeping up with
Tales of Lindford
Up Next
Have unexpectedly been asked to do a review, I just have to get the one I already have on my plate out of the way.
The new Laurie R King Mary Russell mystery is out next week. Maybe re-read the Martinelli mysteries?
There are still the Paretsky short stories somewhere, I think.
