(Okay, some of this was the result of procrastination, and then while I was getting these things off my to-do list I thought I might as well do the thing that technically wasn't due until next month, but still, it was on the to-do list.)
Report on book proposal, with sample chapters: actually it's harder to do this for something where you just want to say, 'publish it already', which is more or less why the procrastination, because they do want something a bit more substantive than that.
Refereeing of article. Of which I couldn't quite see the point, and didn't think I would if I left it to stew.
Article that I expressed an interest in looking at when written by a friend of mine.
Book chapter by a friend that they were keen to have me look at - as a result of conversation last year. I enjoyed the chapter, and also the volume conclusion they'd sent, but rather rashly said I looked forward to reading the whole thing (meaning, in due course, why not send me a copy when it's published, pretty please?) and, blow me, they have sent me a pdf of the ms with a mention of the chapter upon which they would most particular desire my esteemed input...
Conversation with somebody for their forthcoming book.
Approach re possible documentary about person/topic on whom/which I have some claim to be a nexpert.
Having been involved in one music-related project, have had an enquiry about another one, following a comment I made after the premiere last week.
And I have a chapter to write myself.
Meanwhile, not only do we have drillings and bangings from the downstairs flat but a flurry of emails between various parties - next-door neighbours either side, the surveyor, the contractor, the project manager...
