What I read
Tremontaine Season 3 Episode 2 - felt this went a bit choppy between the various characters and strands catching up/setting up.
Ruthanna Emrys, Winter Tide (2017) - well, I am someone who all I know about Lovecraft is works by people who have riffed off/subverted the Lovecraft mythos or pointed out his horrendous views, but I enjoyed this. I appreciated some of the things that were going on with the ordinary-human women characters and how they negotiated their positions.
Kai Ashante Wilson, The Sorcerer of the Wildeeps (2015) - this was one of those books that I can see is doing good and interesting things and things that need doing and that there are not enough of, but that just don't quite do it for me: the 'admire but don't really care much for' thing?
And then with being ill and then spending large parts of the day at a fairly intense two-day conference I defaulted to comfort rereads of Miss Marple and Charles Paris.
On the go
4.50 from Paddington (1957).
Up next
Well, I assumed there will be a new episode of Tremontaine, otherwise, not sure.
