Organisers who schedule 3 sessions back to back for a duration of 3 hours. No, really, not on.
A thing which has for some reason become almost a default setting at conferences I have recently been at: no coffee served at lunch. WOT. How is one supposed to stay awake in the after-lunch session? Possibly it is a plot to make one go and buy coffee in the on-site cafe.
And on lunch catering, sandwiches of which far too high a percentage of fillings included cheese (even the hummus wrap was 'and feta'). I realise my particular dietary requirements do not map to the usual tickboxes of vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free/lactose-intolerant*, but they actually relate to fairly common migraine triggers and I cannot be the only sufferer in the room.
*There were actually separate platters specifically designated for these, which did not include cheese, but I am hesitant to take food from the mouths of vegans, coeliacs and people with lactose intolerance.
The content of the conference, however, was Of Interest.
