Being generic

Further to someone elsewhere indicating that they hadn't got to either of the panels I was on, I commented that there is probably a pretty much generic
oursin Wiscon panel contribution:
Naomi Mitchison was doing that in the 1920s.*
Several sadly overlooked women sff writers of the 60s-80s were doing that.**
If people read more history and less faux-medieval fantasy they would realise that women were doing a great deal more and had a far wider range of occupations than they tend to get in fantasy fiction.
