Going to and fro, and walking up and down

Okay, all rather slowly, because I was not feeling exactly full of energy.

But I walked up Michigan Ave as far as the Art Institute, and then decided I didn't feel like doing an art gallery, however great, in my current state of health. Incidentally, I thought the street planters this year were not so interesting as last time I saw them and all rather similar.

So made my way up to Union Station in order to see if I could print out my tickets for tomorrow evening, and lo and behold, mirabile dictu, I waved the barcode at the machine, and it printed them out.

I then walked along by the canal to Madison and found the Nevelson 'Dawn Shadows' at Madison Plaza and spent some quality time with it.

I then successfully, more or less, negotiated public transport back to the nearest station to my hotel (even with the change involving leaving one station and walking round the corner to another).

Waitress in a cafe where I stopped for an iced coffee was very taken with elisem's '70,000 names for home', which I was wearing today.
