Today is the day of the 2 symposia:
The one at another institution this morning (fortunately in Zone 1) at which I am participating in a workshop discussion in which I suspect I shall come over as grumpy trad archivist channelling the shade of Sir Hilary Jenkinson.
And this pm (I think that if I go like the clappers and there is not a complete traffic standstill in the Holborn area, I might even make the start time), a work-related do for which I was volunteered to talk about some of our collections. This has evolved into a lot of pictures on Powerpoint, no fancy effects I may add, about which I shall chat.
Followed by a reception.
After that, a pigfoot and a bottle of beer stiff drink and a chance to sit down in silence would be greatly welcomed.
