"...a little slow, a little late" Avon Barksdale

My course is nigh on finished. A few more essays followed by a gathering with party rings and lemonade and I shall bid farewell to my new lady friends. Its been a pretty good year really. I'll share a very questionable quote reflection and think of a line where Ally Mcbeal said (though I think her mum said this to her) "if you look back on your year, and it doesn't bring you tears of sorrow or tears of joy, consider it a wasted year". Now obviously Ally Mcbeal had a penchant for the dramatic and i'm not likely to cry for either reason, but none the less its been a very important year for me I feel. I set myself a goal, which in itself is new and intriguing for a guy that lives entirely in a dream state, and i achieved it. Now i start my degree and shall again find myself away from home and in the company of new folk. I've no strong desire to escape my current folk but I will welcome the emergence of new ones.

Having handed in the final pieces of work for my Monday lessons I went to the park to sit in the sun and read. The book, 'Life of Pi', the park, extremely crowded. I kept getting distracted from my book by school kids playing football. Their teachers were rubbish at giving instructions and the female teacher could not kick a ball to save her life. She even fell over, and when she did kick the ball she nearly decapitated a young boy. The poor kid dropped to the floor, his classmates clambered around him, as the 3 teachers present shouted "You're fine Luke, get up". I found it hilarious I must admit. I also found it quite sweet that the classmates ignored the teachers demands to play on until the whistle blew in favour of picking up their fallen comrade. Compassion though was all they had going for them really. Only one kid displayed any semblance of skill; using two Cruyff turns, I observed, to decimate the defense and later doing a fantastic glancing header. Not too shabby. As soon as this course is 100% finished, I am going to play football at Wembley goals.

I've been seriously pondering my tattoo of late. I'm not entering into this lightly by any means I assure you. I have watched every single episode of Miami Ink, L.A Ink, and London ink. I've studied each artists techniques and become very much absorbed into the lives of all involved in these shows as you'd fully expect me to do so. Whether its 'The Wire', 'Home and Away' or 'House of Tiny Tear-aways' I become a sibling or psychologist to these folk. The bastard is, I'm still no closer to choosing a design.

I'm going to see My Bloody Valentine tonight. Should be good. Apparently they are as loud as airplanes.
