As seen on various LJs on my flist.
You have one guess which fandom gets mentioned the most. ;)
Your main fandom of the year?
Sherlock, and by extension, Benedict Cumberbatch. Somehow I had managed to miss any mention of this series at all, despite regularly watching the Beeb, but then I happened to zap into the press conference scene of A Study in Pink, saw Rupert Graves and therefore decided to watch a bit... and well, they had me at "Let's start with the riding crop." Best. Character. Introduction. Ever. :D
Your favorite film watched this year?
Oh dear, I hardly saw any (at the cinema), but among those few it definitely was Machete. :D
Your favorite book read this year?
Lynn Flewelling's "The White Road" and Barry Eisler's John Rain series.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Errr... I don't think I got anything apart from Best Of albums or other older CDs, and I don't remember having anything on heavy rotation when I did listen to music - it just depends on my mood at a particular moment. But I really liked Eminem and Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie". And not just because Dom is in the video. ;D
Your favorite TV shows of the year?
Sherlock, Doctor Who, Dollhouse... err, apart from that, shows like Grand Designs or Escape to the Country. I just love looking at pretty properties. :)
Your favorite LJ community of the year?
sherlockbbc Your best new TV discovery of the year?
And all together now... Sherlock! :D
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Err, was there one? I've been concentrating so much on other stuff that I don't remember.
Your TV boyfriend of the year?
Sherlock and John. Yes, both of them. At the same time. Which shouldn't surprise anyone who knows me half well. ;P
Your TV girlfriend of the year?
Huh... I guess Sarah from Sherlock? I like her and hope we'll see more of her in S2. John/Sarah/Sherlock (asexual or not) is my OT3.
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
There were two:
Meeting Sean Maher (again) at DragonCon, and
meeting Benedict Cumberbatch at the Children's Monologues afterparty! :D
The most missed of your old fandoms?
Lord of the Rings, American Gothic.
The TV show you haven't tried yet, but want to?
I'm sure there's a few, but I'm drawing a blank. Again, mind on other stuff.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Sherlock's second season. Obviously. ;) Oh and seeing Benedict in Danny Boyle's Frankenstein. Sadly I can't go see the play live in London, but OMG THANK GOODNESS there will be a
National Theatre Live screening at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing arts in March 2011. I got my ticket. *bounce*
Right. I should stop dawdling about and take a shower. Stuff to do...
