elegant solution for mice cage?!

hey everybody!

I spent the last month renovating my room- ( as soon as it is finished, i will post pics here ^__^)
now that i'm almost done, something came to my mind: i want to buy two mice - but the cages are just ugly...

i had two rats, and their cage was perfect for them - but the floor around it was always dirty, and well, the cage was not that nice to look at..
now that i want to get mice, i won't need a cage THAT big, although I want to give them the chance to get more than enough space.

I thought about the cage for a while now, and decided I will take an aquarium as basic, which is the perfect solution for the litter-all-around problem.
but still, it isnt that pretty.

I looked for ideas, so the mice have a appropriate home that still fits into my room.
i will probably get something like this: www.kleintiershop.at/images/38-160020.jpg
if i had the space, i would take a cupboard and turn it into a biiiig house for those fur-noses... but i don't have the space, so i'll have to find another solution...

does anyone have mice/hamster etc and found a way to make the cage pretty? or has ideas? every little hint can be helpful!
i think some cover would do, like "wrapping" a beautiful frame around...
but it definately must not constrict the mice... like bad air-circulation

you guys are my last hope, if i can't find a solution, I will get a normal cage.. it's not that bad, but it would be awesome if i could integrade the cage into the room-"concept"

my finished room will have a style similar to this:

anyone any ideas? thanks in advance.. <3
