Long time lurker and first time poster.

For those of you who have animals in their rooms, how have you 'organized' it all, so to speak?
Just out of curiosity. :)

Due to a request in a way, I'd just like to say before you click on the cut, that it might be upsetting to see
my bunny, as he isn't able to move anymore etc and it does tend to be ( Read more... )

Aw, cute bunny!

I made a C&C cage for my guinea pig, since the store bought cages are much too small for them. They're fairly big but I built a shelf with the cubes under the cage (ground level) to store all the pet supplies. With the bunny, you could make him a nice space underneath the guinea pig cage and therefore not "waste that space". Since it's open on all four sides it's still light and airy, even though the coroplast of the piggie cage creates a ceiling.

On top of the piggie cage you could keep the rats and then have all the fuzzies in one spot.
Here's a picture of my piggie cage:

As I said, it's huge but with the added space underneath it rocks for storing supplies, etc. My cat adores hanging out underneath there.

Those cages are really spacious and surprisingly nice! definitely.

I might give that a try, it's just that my pig freaks out so much,
thus creating a chain reaction at times =P

Was it easy to built the cage? because i really like the design, especially for storing the feed etc as that really takes up place and gets messy.

It was super easy to make. I think it took me a couple of hours at most and I was by myself. The scoring of the coroplast worried me at first but it was really easy. It's also absolutely water/pee proof.

I kept the food in old ice cream containers instead of in the bags, which also cut down on the messiness.

If you need any more info, just send me a message. I'll see if I can find some more pics of my cage, but the website I linked you to in my previous comment is super helpful.
