Memoria, the Forgotten City; a world created by forgotten memories, broken promises, shattered dreams, crushed hopes, and missing and forsaken memorabilia. A world seperate from your own, but somehow this is where you find yourself.
You don't remember how or when it happened. Perhaps you were eating cereal on a cold, rainy Sunday, or in the process of being taken out and defeated by a formidable foe, or maybe even asleep and unconscious. All you remember was the sensation of being pushed out and away from your own body, and something else entirely takes over your emotions, your feelings, your body, and your memories. Something else is living your life in place of you. And then suddenly, you feel yourself being taken away, being absorbed by a portal that leads to another dimension.
The next thing you know, you are in the middle of a lush forest all by yourself with nothing but a golden device in your pocket and the objects you had on your person. There is a straight path carved on the forest floor, and when you follow it and leave the darkness of the shaded woods, you are surprised at what you see ahead. Everything is beautiful, a world bursting at the seams with color, but you can't help but feel that something is a bit off.
Firstly, you see that there is a red tattoo imprinted on a part of your body, one that wasn't there before. Then there are the locals. Some of them are friendly, too friendly in fact that borderlines on creepy, and they give you weird looks and change the topic when you talk about being lost and the way home. "This is home," they insist, "You belong here." And there are also those who act differently; those with no trace of emotion or feeling on their faces as they go about their way, and they look cold and lifeless-- almost robot-like. When you explore the city, you will realize that one way leads to another, and no matter where you go, you can't find the way home. But what is strange, really strange, is that after the sun sets and darkness begins to fall, the city begins to change, and late during the night, you can hear blood-curdling screams that are always cut short. However when morning comes, everyone acts as if nothing happened the night before.
Where are you? What is this place? What does the tattoo mean? Who governs the city? Will you ever be able to find a way home?
