Gorilla cheerleaders

The only thing worse than DBSG's music is DBSG's choreography. Whoever did this dropped the ball down a seventeen floor laundry chute and into a previously prepared laundry basket of dog shit. Runny dog shit. And somewhere nearby, a gorilla cheerleader is hamming it up for the camera. And by gorilla cheerleader, I mean Yunho. Because Changmin is ( Read more... )

:( well it comes with the stanning territory.

in all seriousness, though, there *were* two fairly typical wtf yunho don't incorporate your dance training into this type of choreo moments. but i was watching carefully and he's still outdancing most everyone there - his movements are so much sharper.

this makes me feel a little sad for changmin because when you get them on the same screen doing the same thing, it's really obvious. 8D still, changmin's long limbs make up for everything.

I understand. I still punch things when people badmouth Woohyuk.

I guess I'm not totally fair because I would forgive Changmin for murder. And openly cringe every time Yunho opens his mouth. I will say that he shows potential as a dancer, they just have to give him something decent to work with. I haven't seen this yet, though.

Yeah I wouldn't know what to do without you in my life, either. lol

Also you replied too fast and I couldn't edit, so here's what I wanted to add to the last comment:

Also - the MJ choreo they gave him for the "This Is It" concert was the best dancing I've ever seen from him. I really think he's capable of a lot, but you're right - it doesn't always show. Though I think DBSK has some of the better choreography in Kpop fandom, it's clearly limited and I think a large part of that had to do with the fact that he was in a group of boys in which only one other one could really dance. Set Yunho up on a stage by himself, though, and he really shines.

I'm biased, too, so I'm not sure what that opinion really counts for. But I like to think I'm fairly objective because I *don't* believe Yunho is the best dancing god ever omjaesus. lol

On that same note,I also don't believe that Woohyuk is the best dancer in the industry, let alone the country or the world. He's good, and I love watching him, but I'm always willing to believe that this can't possibly be the best.

I can't agree on DBSG having some of the best choreo, though. They had some good ones, sure, and I'll never be able to say anything unkind about Rising Sun, but I think that, percentage-wise, the bad seriously damages any good I could find. I'm spoiled now, I think. I'm too used to things being a certain way that when something comes in that I could have liked one or two years ago, it just doesn't measure up. And SM didn't do Homin any kind of service by having this MV come out at the same time as MBLAQ's, considering how essentially perfect their choreography is.

And I haven't seen anything from This Is It, and usually I wouldn't let someone else speak for me in anything regarding choreography or dance, but I'll believe you on that. Like I said, he has the potential.

Rising Sun was basically perfect. Basically. Even Yoo Youngjin admitted it ( ... )

Oh don't get me wrong. For me, if I had to choose between BEAST and MBLAQ, I would choose BEAST ten out of ten times. That isn't even a question. I'm just slightly obsessed with choreography and dancers too much to overlook something as put-together as MBLAQ. They just know how to make a team with such varying skill sets work together perfectly, and I love that. I love when mediocre dancers are brought up to the same level as stunning ones, and can hold their own ( ... )

Yeah idol bands have changed since DBSG's time and now I think old them would have quite a bit of competition.

But they're not old them anymore, either. They've changed and grown a lot over the years as well, so we'll see how these two do now. It's been basically two years since they were around and even in that short time, the industry's changed quite a bit, but I'd like to see how much they've been changing, as well.

Oh God, BEAST. I love them. They are truly wonderful in everything they do.
