ndiswrapper blues revisited

An apt dist-upgrade later, and naturally, ndiswrapper broke. this is being posted from my old 2.6.8.1-3-i386 kernel--the newly-installed 2.6.8.1-5 kernel of course won't give me connectivity.

I'm too damn tired--crosseyed (ha!) to deal with this any more tonight. I'll leave this session like this and figure out what happened tomorrow morning, having sprung forward to daylight-saving time
