The far more spartan fluxbox window manager. It bears mentioning that this makes for a MUCH faster system, overall, though.
I've finally gotten fluxbox to start behaving, and am actually beginning to like it--even if it is a very austere environment compared to the lushness that is my GNOME desktop. OpenOffice and the GIMP load really really really quickly under this environment though; the performance gains are enough to make me like this.
