This entry is written on-my newest toy-- a secondhand Palm IIIIxe. I had for many years thought that the whole Palm platform was a waste of time. But I found myself looking for a cheap way to enter text while I.was doing other things, like riding the train to work.
Why get such an obsolete model? In short, because the price was right. I was right. I scored my Palm for 25 dollars. Thank goodness for craigslist! Add the keyboard that I expect to get off ebay for 13 dollars, and I have myself a mobile notepad for under 40 bucks! Not bad when you consider the price of a new handheld device.
