No, I don't get tired of anniversary posts. Although with the years going up and up, I can't help being more aware of their weight every time, wondering who I even was back in 2001. The memory is there, but it's just off.
I hoped to catch something at least a little meaningful on the news today, but all we got was election debate. That's only to be expected at this point, but all the same, I didn't think the best thing for them to focus on today was belated realization that Palin is having too much spotlight. (I still can't believe anyone would have thought it was even a remotely good idea to put someone with her beliefs in any position to do with government, but I'll leave ranting about that for another time.)
Hidden somewhere in the pile of old cassettes in another room is some footage I filmed on the first of September 2001 - a pseudo-documentary about our day. I think it's the closest such record I have to the date ten days later. And we just had no idea...
So, this is my personal piece of remembrance.
