Pleaser

It's strange. The things that used to bother me so much just last week doesn't anymore. Stress really is adaptable, and up to a certain point it usually disappears. When we think about our mortality we tend to be a bit more stressed than usual, but when we think about our failures, it's more about the immediate forseeable disadvantages. We get anxious over what people will think of us, and we start to fidget and worry about what we can do to fix this anxiety we feel.

Well, you can't take back an impression. If someone hates you, then they will almost certainly alway hate you. Unless they must work with you too closely for comfort, then there might be room for compromise. Don't count on that. There will always be people you cannot please. That is not to say that you should stop trying to please, and it also doesn't mean a people-pleaser is an ass-kisser all the time. I've seen people with the appearance of absolute calm and self-interest attain the hearts of nearly everyone they come across. What's not to give when you perservere? Our interpersonal relationships are like cushions, when you push on the outside, it gives.
