New userpic:  tomatoes from the garden.  The reddish-green stripey ones are the violet jasper; the paler green-striped ones are green zebra, the two very pale cherry tomatoes are snowberries.  And so forth.  Couple of chiles for variety.

The beans aren't producing as fast as they were.  The last harvest was late, and that may be why.

I tried Picasso on 0.25 mg; 1/4 the originally-prescribed dose.  He was not dangerously uncoordinated, but he was clearly a little wobbly.  Moderate sedation.  More than I find acceptable ( Read more... )

Friday night I tried Picasso on his first dose of Xanax.  I wanted to be home as long as possible for the start of it, hence starting during a long weekend.  In retrospect, doing the first dose when the vet's office is actually open would have been better.

It was an inelegant end to the workweek - I'll skip the rant on the thing that had the potential to ruin every bit of work we've been doing for the last month.  Luckily, the damage it did could be undone; we continue to lurch forward, and there is still hope that we'll be pretty much done by the end of the month.

Atlantis launched yesterday (I watched it live online).  Tonight, it will be flying near the International Space Station, in tandem.  By tomorrow night, I believe it will be docked.

Anyway, tonight the viewing for the shuttle/ISS should be good - mostly clear, and a nice crescent moon and shiny Venus to add to the show.  They should fly by around ( Read more... )

Picasso is no longer getting (empty) Pill Pockets when Dory gets her (filled) ones.  He'd become quite fond of them, but his eyes were getting weepy again.  The treats are basically animal fats and wheat...and he has a grain allergy.  Apparently even one treat (or at least that brand) is enough to set it off.  Not 100% certain that was it, but now ( Read more... )
