The garage kitten is showing signs of warming up a little. This morning I brought the bowl of food out, then sat on a bucket less than two feet away. Oscar was there immediately, and the feral kitten showed up from his/her hiding place very quickly. He doesn't like me being so close, but he eats and keeps an eye on me. Since Oscar was sitting at my feet, I slowly leaned forward, scratching Oscar's back, and actually managed to go over Oscar's head and touch the kitten's ear. Kitten did not like it, but soon came back to eat some more. Tim came up with the gender neutral name "Skit," short for "skittish kitten."
