Back from Serenity. Not sure how I feel about it. Stunned certainly.
Hmm. So we saw it on the megascreen, and we were right at the edge. Maybe 10 rows back. The sound was terible and the curvature of the screen detracted frm the experience I think. So I need to see it again, on a normal screen.
Of the plot, and the deaths. Plural. Goddammit. I was expecting one death (thanks to reading spoilers), I was unprepared for two. Thinking about it before we went in, Jayne seemed the most expendable. I didnt see wash dying, and I dont think I'm happy about it. He was such a part of Firefly for me. Its a shock. Book, I wanted to know what his story was. Seems it will be harder to explore that now, but, Joss being Joss, not impossible. I also read on the Interweb that Alan and Ron have signed for at least anoter movie, so perhaps flashbacks etc.
All in all, I feel a bit let down, but i suspect mostly that was due to me getting all hyped up. Should have stayed away from everything. There is a lot more I could talk about, but I'm tired and getting a headache.
