What the Frack?
It's been a little while since an update. Sorry about that.
I had decided to set up Factions at War Revised, and the Factions Player's Guide, up on RPGNow/DriveThruRPG, with a release on June 8th. PDF sales, here we come. This release date is dependent on the website update.
So, the website update is huge. There were nearly 20 pages of *text* that I wrote up. You know, for content. I've overloaded my web magician with much goodness. It's all going together rather beautifully. The layout is much fuller, much more complete. There will be actual pages to spend time reading, actual places to go and get information. And the lovely Forum. I like having a Forum. I hope people will use the thing.
Anyway, the website isn't updated yet. We were hoping for this past Sunday, but missed. Now, if we have it ready by tomorrow evening, we'll keep with the June 8th release. If we miss Wednesday, then we'll move the release date back another week. This is to give enough time to bomb the internets with Coming Soon messages, and other buzz-building techniques. And the thing about these techniques, is that it helps to have a really snazzy website for people to go and visit, check things out, and see if they want to make a mental note to, well, *care* about your upcoming release.
So, website comes before release bombings, which have to come before product releases.
