I like…
Your rather weird hair.
“Ugh, Taeyeon, how can you live with your hair like this?” Tiffany pointed out, as they lay in bed together one morning, a strand of her girlfriend’s hair between her fingers.
“So many split ends…” Tiffany whispered, God forbid she ever let her hair get that bad.
“I’m going to the salon today.”
“To dye it again?! You’re gonna go bald.”
“No, to see what they can do to fix it.”
“Oh…Good.” Tiffany smiled. “Just don’t let them shave it all off.”
“Would you still like me if I was bald?”
“You’d look like an oversized baby…which would be adorable and all, I’m sure but…” Tiffany paused to laugh at the mental image. “Just no. Don’t ever do that.”
~o~
Taeyeon had left about two hours ago and Tiffany had just received a text message.
“If I come home with a bag over my head, don’t be surprised.”
Tiffany’s eyes widened and she quickly sent her reply.
“Are you bald?!!”
Taeyeon’s reply was almost instant.
“Aish, you…no but ugh, just open the door. I’m coming up.”
It was another two minutes before Taeyeon arrived at the door, her hood pulled tightly around her face.
“C’mon, let me see it.” Tiffany reached over to pull the hood down.
“No.”
“Please?” Tiffany plead, using her puppy dog eyes which she knew Taeyeon couldn’t say no to.
“Ugh…fine.” Taeyeon slowly pulled down her hood, revealing hair so short it just barely passed her chin.
Tiffany burst out in laughter, the bubbly sound filling the apartment.
“I told you not to laugh!”
“No, you didn’t.” Tiffany said trying to hold back another giggle. “You look adorable.”
“I look like a 45 year old.”
“And a 10 year old.” Tiffany added, playing with Taeyeon’s hair now.
“Is that even possible?”
“It is when you smile like that.”
“Like what?”
Tiffany only smiled back in reply, knowing that that was enough to get a smile out of the older girl.
“W-what? Why are you smiling?” Sure enough, Taeyeon couldn’t hold back a smile of her own.
“You look sooo cute. I swear, every time I think about you and that hair, I’m gonna have to try not to smile.”
“Shouldn’t the thought of me always make you smile?” Taeyeon said quietly, almost to herself, almost like she wished she hadn’t said that out loud.
Tiffany laughed, planting a soft kiss on her girlfriend’s lips. “You’re cute. C’mon, let’s take pictures.”
I like…
Your perverse mind.
“So you picked chocolate strawberries for dessert, why now?” Taeyeon asked dipping a bright red strawberry into a bowl of melted chocolate and plopping it into her mouth.
“Cause it’s the only dessert I can make without the potential risk of hurting someone and plus…they taste amazing.”
Taeyeon nodded in agreement, munching on a strawberry her girlfriend had just fed her. The older girl dipped another strawberry in the chocolate, this time feeding it to Tiffany.
Tiffany chewed on it, the hint of a smile in her eyes, happy to be sharing such a simple pleasure with her girlfriend.
“Oh, you got some chocolate on you.” Taeyeon pointed out, motioning to the side of her mouth.
“Where?” Tiffany attempted to wipe it off.
“No, other side…here, I’ll get it.” Taeyeon slowly moved in closer, reducing the distance between their faces to centimeters.
Tiffany’s eyes widened and her breath hitched; her body’s typical reactions when Taeyeon caught her off-guard like this.
“Right…here.” Taeyeon murmured before rather sensually (in Tiffany’s opinion) licking the chocolate off the younger girl’s face.
“Yah…Taeyeon.” Tiffany mumbled, heat rushing to her face (and other parts of her body).
Taeyeon drew back just as slowly as she had leaned in, licking her lips.
“That was much better. Honestly, I don’t think we need these strawberries.”
“Yah! Taetae!” Tiffany laughed at what Taeyeon was suggesting, shoving her slightly.
“Oh look, you’ve some more right…” Taeyeon, suppressing a smile, said before smudging chocolate across Tiffany’s neck. “There…Darn, I don’t think you can get that off yourself. Here, I got it for ya.” Taeyeon smirked before leaning in and gently licking the chocolate off Tiffany, planting small kisses here and there.
“T-Taeyeon! Stop it!” Tiffany said, between giggles.
“Okay, fine, your turn.” Taeyeon pulled away and handed the bowl of chocolate to Tiffany.
Tiffany sighed. “Leave it to you to turn an innocent dessert into this.”
Taeyeon scoffed, that smirk still on her face. “But don’t you like this better?”
Tiffany dabbed some chocolate on her girlfriend’s lips. “…Maybe.” She murmured before going in for the kiss.

The funny random ways you show you care…
“But they were supposed to be together…forever.” Tiffany sobbed, yet another tear streaming down her face. She was watching the last episode of her current favorite drama and this was the part where the girl (as always) dies of some rare disease (as always).
“Tiffany…do you remember where-” Taeyeon walked into the room asking about her misplaced glasses but stopped half sentence when she noticed the sobbing mess on the couch.
The older girl was about to ask what was wrong but one quick glance at the TV and back at Tiffany was all she needed to figure it out.
“Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Cry is bad.” Taeyeon began to speak in English, plopping herself down next to the blotchy-looking Tiffany.
Tiffany looked up at Taeyeon quizzically from the tissue she was just blowing her nose on.
“Look.” Taeyeon pointed to the TV, still speaking in English. “No woman, no cry.” She raised her hands and shrugged.
Tiffany almost laughed. “Do you even know what that means?” She asked in Korean.
“No…Wait, I can’t Korean, only speak English.” Taeyeon continued, trying hard to at least stop the tears from falling.
“They found out she had terminal cancer in the fourth episode and he tried to keep her alive for at least 10 more episodes, which he did but then she died.” Tiffany blurted out, completely in English, pointing at the screen.
“Oh! Amaijing pentastic suprije!” Taeyeon cried, clapping her hands together.
“What?” Tiffany chuckled this time knowing Taeyeon didn’t understand her.
“Good! Smile! Good! Eye smile is better!” Taeyeon gave a thumbs-up.
“I said, she died. The girl in the drama died. It was so sad.” Tiffany explained to her girlfriend who was now dabbing up the last of Tiffany’s tears with a tissue.
“Oooh, yeah yeah I know.” Taeyeon murmured in understanding, and then stopped to think for a moment. “If you die, I die.” Taeyeon said, still in English.
Tiffany couldn’t hold back a smile any longer; Taeyeon was cute when she tried to cheer her up like this. Even though Tiffany wasn’t crying because of actual pain, Taeyeon couldn’t bear to see her like this. She always tried so hard to make her smile again, even resorting to silly nonsensical English. The younger girl loved how much her girlfriend cared about her.
Tiffany then sighed but it was a happy one. “You’re the best, Taeyeon.” Tiffany said in English this time, giving her girlfriend a quick kiss on the cheek.
“I know.” Taeyeon smiled proudly, her mission accomplished.
I like…
The burning touch of your fingertips on my skin.
Tiffany had wanted to go out for lunch today. She was craving a good old American meal, a juicy hamburger and fries. Yet Taeyeon had other plans in mind. The older girl disliked going out. She wanted to stay home, and make lunch herself. Ddukkbokki and kimchi stew, a classic Korean meal. The two argued over it for ten full minutes until they reached a compromise. Taeyeon would make ddukbokki and sandwiches and they’d go out for a picnic. It wasn’t exactly what Tiffany wanted but she was too hungry to keep arguing so she settled for pouting all the way to the park where they’d have their picnic.
“Fany-ah, c’mon, have some ddukbokki.” Taeyeon held a rice cake up to her girlfriend’s mouth with her chopsticks.
“No.” Tiffany glared and continued nibbling on her sandwich.
Taeyeon sighed and ate the rice cake. She put down her chopsticks and simply sat there, staring into seemingly nothing. They were mostly alone in this park except for the occasional dog walker. It was quiet between the two, Tiffany fuming in anger silently and Taeyeon contemplating on what to do to now.
“Look, Tiffany, if you really want to let’s just go eat then.” Taeyeon murmured, taking Tiffany’s hand in hers.
Tiffany stopped breathing for a second; this was one of those rare moments when she was suddenly hyper-aware of Taeyeon’s presence, where every touch Taeyeon gave her seemed to sear into her skin. She turned to look at the older girl and found her eyes to be apologetic and understanding. Her previous anger seemed to melt away almost instantly and all she wanted right now was Taeyeon’s touch.
“No, it’s okay. This is fine.” Tiffany managed to say, offering her a reassuring smile.
“Good.” Taeyeon answered back, reaching her hand up and brushing away a stray hair from Tiffany’s face. Taeyeon’s fingertips only faintly grazed Tiffany’s face but she felt like they left a searing trail across it. It was enough to make Tiffany impulsively lunge forward, her lips colliding with Taeyeon’s. Taeyeon was momentarily shocked but ultimately kissed back; she would never reject one of her girlfriend’s kisses.
When Tiffany finally pulled away, Taeyeon asked. “What was that for?”
“Sorry, you just gave me a bunch of feelings and I…yeah.”
Taeyeon laughed. “If this is what picnics are like with you, we should have them more often.”
Tiffany had to laugh too. “Agreed.” And honestly, she was already looking forward to their next.
I like…
The occasional annoying conversations.
“So lemme guess…you’re still awake.” Taeyeon murmured as they both lay awake in bed. Tiffany had had a terrible day at work and was still angry about it.
“Yes.”
“You should never go to bed mad.”
“I know that.”
“You were the one who told me that.”
“I know.” Tiffany gritted her teeth, starting to get irritated.
“You won’t ever fall asleep if you’re mad. I know that for sure.”
“Taeyeon, what are you trying to say?”
“Would you like some ice cream?”
“What?”
“Ice cream. It’ll make you feel better.”
“Yes, Taeyeon, because ice cream right now is totally going to make me feel better!” She turned around in bed to glare at the girl despite the latter probably not seeing it due to the low light in the room but when she turned around all she saw was a flash of Taeyeon’s smile and her quickly jumping out of bed.
“Okay!”
She was gone and back in less than 5 minutes, ice cream bowls in hand.
“C’mon, no one can say no to ice cream.”
“Taeyeon, I’m trying to sleep! Ice cream will not help.”
“But it’s ice cream!” Taeyeon protested, trying to give Tiffany her bowl.
“You are so…ugh.” Tiffany didn’t even finish her sentence; she frustratedly took the bowl, scooping some into her mouth.
“There, now don’t you feel better.”
Tiffany sighed; she never really understood why Taeyeon liked ice cream so much all she knew was that it ALWAYS made her happy. She stared at her girlfriend happily eating the ice cream in the dark, a satisfied expression on her face.
“You are so annoying, you know that?” Tiffany muttered, scooping up some more ice cream.
“But you love it, don’t you?” Taeyeon replied, her ice cream bowl now empty.
Instead of answering Tiffany shoved a big spoonful of ice cream into Taeyeon’s mouth.
I like…
Your sense of humor.
“Okay, so just sit down right there on the couch.” Taeyeon had her hands on Tiffany’s shoulders, guiding her to the sofa.
“Why now?”
“Because…uh…you look like you want to sit down.”
Tiffany raised one eyebrow. “Right.”
The younger girl had just sat down on the couch, putting her full weight on it when a farting noise roared out from under her. Tiffany’s jaw dropped and she sat there perplexed as Taeyeon burst into a fit of laughter. She threw her head back, holding onto the TV stand to keep from falling over.
“Seriously, Taeyeon, seriously.” Tiffany scowled, getting up and pulling out the whoopee cushion.
“No…! Put it back…!” Taeyeon gasped, trying to quiet her huge laughter.
“I can’t believe you.”
“It sounded like hurricane diarrhea!” And at that thought a whole new round of laughter started up again.
Tiffany rolled her eyes. “I am throwing it away!”
“Wait! Don’t! One more time…please?” Taeyeon plead.
“No.”
Taeyeon pouted.
“That’s not cute, Taeyeon.”
“Don’t talk to me.” Taeyeon crossed her arms, walked over to the couch in mock-anger and threw herself on it but as she did so yet another fart sound erupted from underneath.
“Oooh! I forgot about that one!” And once again, a fit of giggles and chuckles started to shake Taeyeon’s small frame.
Tiffany sighed but a smile was forming on her face. Her girlfriend was so easily amused. “What am I going to do with you, Kim Taeyeon?”
I like…
How you know most of the things on my mind.
Taeyeon knew exactly when to pry and when not to pry, when Tiffany wanted to talk and when all she wanted was to sit in silence. Tiffany could pour her heart out to Taeyeon, talk for hours and Taeyeon almost always knew when to just listen and when to jump in. It frustrated Tiffany as much as it made her happy. Taeyeon seemed to know and understand Tiffany completely yet Taeyeon seemed to be such a complete mystery to Tiffany. At times she was as clear as glass but other times Tiffany had no idea what was going on in her mind.
“Taeyeon-ah…why are you so confusing?” Tiffany wondered out loud one day as they lay lazily in bed.
“What?” Taeyeon murmured, tracing patterns across Tiffany’s stomach with her finger.
“I mean…you always know what I want when I want it but I’m totally lost when it comes to you sometimes.”
“Well, it’s pretty obvious when you want something, Tiffany.”
“Ugh…what I’m trying to say is, when it comes to you all I know is when you need a hug, when you want me to back off, when you want me to cheer you up and when you want to…play around.”
“That’s all I know when it comes to you.” Taeyeon replied, grinning at Tiffany.
“It seems like you know so much more than that.”
“Nope. That’s pretty much it.”
“Really?”
“Yep. Hm, like right now for example. Guess what I want?” She looked up at Tiffany, a mischievous glint in her eye.
“A kiss?” Tiffany smiled, leaning in closer to her girlfriend.
“No. Ice cream. Gosh, you’re terrible at this.”
“And you’re terrible at lying.”
“Oh, whatever.” Taeyeon scoffed, closing the distance between their lips.
I like…
The way you take my breath away and never give it back.
It was the night of their first anniversary and the two had agreed on going out for a very fancy dinner and then coming home and falling asleep to one of their favorite movies. It was simple but sweet, exactly what they both wanted. They both agreed on getting dressed up and looking nice, after all, tonight was certainly a night to celebrate.
Tiffany was excited to see what her girlfriend looked like all dolled up in high heels and a dress, something she rarely got to see, however Taeyeon had been getting ready for the past hour already and Tiffany was starting to get impatient.
“Taeyeon-ah! How much longer?” She sat on the couch, already done up in her short black mini dress, waiting for Taeyeon.
“5 more minutes, I promise!” Taeyeon called back, her words echoing through the tiny apartment.
Tiffany sat there impatiently playing with the clutch of her purse for about a minute or so until she couldn’t take it any longer.
“Taeyeon, I’m walking out the door! I’ll see you downstairs!” Tiffany yelled, getting up and walking over to the door.
Just as she was about to unlock it, she felt a tap on her shoulder and what she saw when she turned around left her breathless.
Taeyeon stood there in a tight, strapless purple dress that emphasized her curves in just the right ways. “Purple is so her color.” Tiffany thought, before taking in the rest of her. The older girl’s long hair had the tiniest curls to it and cascaded just past her collarbones. Her makeup wasn’t too light nor was it heavy. Her eye-shadow had the slightest tint of purple in it, matching her dress, and her eyeliner made her eyes look that much rounder and well…alluring. Her lipstick emphasized her plush bottom lip making it look more kissable now than ever. Taeyeon gave Tiffany a shy smile, and Tiffany noticed the slightest blush in her cheeks.
“Taeyeon…you look beautiful.” Tiffany whispered and it wasn’t until that moment that she realized she had been holding her breath.
Taeyeon didn’t say anything, she still wore that shy smile on her face and Tiffany swore she could hear her own heartbeat. Taeyeon didn’t waste any time; she quickly pressed her lips against her girlfriend’s, not even giving Tiffany a chance to catch her breath.
