such a happy occassion calls for a public post
so i have been in a really shitty mood for the past few weeks and especially days, incase you haven't noticed. but today everything turned around cause we got the BEST news that i have heard in a long long time:
you know how i live in the SHITTIEST dorm on campus? yeah well incase you didn't, it's called Dana and it is one of the two oldest dorms on campus (the other one is Irma, where we all lived last year, go figure). it is where they send sophomores who got screwed over in the housing lottery (and this year half of it became for freshmen too). everyone made fun of us cause we tried to go for a suite in the Complex but we got a shitty lottery number and ended up in Dana. whenever we go out and meet new people there is always the dreaded question, "so where do you live?" and last weekend i just came flat out and told some guy i refused to talk about it. being a sophomore and living in Dana is pretty much a huge turn off, even though it's not our fault... a lot of the other people in the building are there cause they didnt have anyone to room with and are therefore are thought of as rejects. sooo that's the background on Dana- and also that everyone who got nice places made fun of us constantly and were total assholes--
today we get a phone call from the res director and there is an entire suite open for next semester in the Hill- which is junior apartments. this couldn't be any more...awesome, for lack of a better word. we are moving in with ashley and kristen from next door, erin and melita from across the hall, and then melissa erin and me.
all of the girls on our floor are pissed at us now, but i dont really care. they were all snotty and bitchy all year anyway so screw them... the place we are moving into has a kitchen, a balcony overlooking dorm road, a living room, 3 bedrooms, and our own bathroom- i am SO psyched.
no more public bathrooms! no more prude bitchy RA! no more stuck up bitches in the hallway! no more dana jokes! no more scary gary banging on the floor above us! no more polish cleaning ladies kicking us out of the bathroom in the morning! and best of all, NO MORE DANA!!!!
