One step closer
I have accepted the offer from Kimberly-Clark. Frankly, it's too good to pass up. I will be visiting the Bellevue (Seattle area) site and Costco team late next week on the company's dime. They will fly us out on Thursday night. The plan is to visit the team for part of Friday and then get to know the city for the rest of Friday and Saturday.
As for Minneapolis, I have already visited downtown Minneapolis while in my undergrad. It was a cool place for what little I got to explore, and I have friends that live there and seem to love it. The leader of the KC Target team is an OSU alum and also the person who interviewed me for the internship with KC. I'll give him a call to learn more about his team.
There's a key difference between the structures of the two teams:
Costco is made of more sales than marketing people. Target has a large marketing team. I was told that I would have a much better opportunity to learn at Target (Minneapolis) than Costco (Seattle). That does count for something, but I want to see the Costco team for myself.
