Which Great Books class are you thinking of? I took three out of four that were available when I was an undergrad.

Well, unless the bookstore can tell me what books are being used for each class _before_ I register on Thursday, I'm going to register for all of them and check out the book lists when they are available and drop whichever classes don't interest me. For example: I have no desire to read _ANYTHING_ else by Toni Morrison than I have already been forced to - so if one of the classes uses her books, I will drop it. Does each section have a set theme or something? I really thought it was up to the whim of the instructor.

Well, there are English, Religion, Classics, and something that I don't remember- those are the three I took. The English one at least probably is largely up to the whim of the instructor (Brady Allen's was good), not sure about the others.

I registered for all the sections of the English Dept. great books classes. A soon as the book lists are available I'll chose which one I'm actually taking. I'll double check for Brady Allen, too, thanks!
