I was so massively sick for New Years! ICK! I'm starting to feel better, although I sound terrible because I keep losing my voice and hacking up a lung or two.
Do you ever get song obsessions? I've listened to The Pagans and the Christians many many times in a row now, and I just want to bust into song. I can't 'cause I have no voice, but you know...yeah. You'd think I'd get sick of the song, wouldn't you?
So I went to winter camp! It was so amazing! I missed camp like mad!
I signed up to spend the morning with the "Spring" group. It turned out that it was the Brownie group, and Emma and Jor-Jor were both included. It was a very hyper, active sort of day. I wound up spending the whole day with them because they were just completely wild, and even the mothers there seemed frazzled with all the girls and how hyper they were. I was told that I'd make a good teacher or a great Ren Faire worker, and I thought that was interesting. I sang a bunch of songs, and the girls were all excited about it. It was great.
Plus, what can be better than mad giggling with people? Ashes and Piro had to leave early, but spent the night there and we went a little wild, Ashes, Piro, Lucas and I. We were just silly. We all needed sleep. I was alternating between absolutely exhausted and completely hyper and happy to be back at camp. Cali and Dolittle made a brownie snowman-blob thing, which made the cabin (we stayed in White Pine!) smell yummy, and we were all hungry so we went somewhere for dinner. The name of the place has currently eluded me, but I sat across from George and between Lucas and Squish, and it was all quite strange. We all commented on the extreme number of cowboy hats in the place, but resisted the urge to wear them after we saw the price tags.
We had a gift exchange, much of which was purchased at various Bath and Body works. I guess Sharkie's working there, since she gave a running commentary about most of the items. It was really amusing.
Soooo...yeah. I feel like there are probably many other things I could write about, but for some reason I can't really think of too many of them. It was awesome seeing the people who went! It was really fun to see Jersey, too, and to be all weird about Pennsylvania. (It's where all the cool people go to college, really!) Okay, so I was weird, and Jersey was normal, but it was fun for me.
But I'm going to get back to my mentholated-room and hope that I start feeling better before my nice, long carride back to Pitt tomorrow. My fever has finally stopped dropping, after spending a couple days around 102, and I do feel a lot better than I was feeling yesterday. I could even handle the really annoying cough if my throat wasn't so sore already.
I'm really excited about going back to Pitt, too. I miss my friends up there, and I miss Teddy. I'm happy to have survived this past semester and I'm happy that a new one's starting.
