Interesting link. The family with 3yo kid got kicked out of the plane because they disobeyd the safety rules.
I especially like the phrase "The Kulesza family asked if they could hold their daughter instead of putting her in her seat, but were told no." What a stupid idea. What if plane shakes when flying up, which happens all the time? The mother holds her child who keeps yelling and kicking, and at the moment of shake she accidentally drops her daughter and the girl breaks her neck. I bet they would sue the air company for it:-) When they ask you stay seatbelted for a while on the plane, they don't do it for fun, they do it for a reason.
"the flight was already 15 minutes late"
I didn't quite understand, but was it that the flight was late, in fact, because of this one kid?
"Julie Kulesza, explaining why she wanted her story told, said, "I just wanted to make the public aware of what happened and this too can happen to them if their child is crying too much.""
You know, lady, if I was a passenger at that plane and your kid kept crying for 15 minutes I would have already either be yelling madly at you because crying kids are f@#$ing annoying, or I would be calling the police demanding to investigate what the hell you are doing to your kid that she doesn't stop crying:-)
Seriously, I saw many situations when a kid starts crying or yelling in public place and parents calm him down very quickly, so I will not believe it's not possible. I'd think it's just a matter of parents willing to take care. If the kid keeps crying for too long, I'd think either he's sick badly and needs to be taken to the doctor immediately (he may have some severe stomac pain or any other health issue, the cry for a reason usually comes with good reason), or his parents just don't care that their kid is misbehaving and annoying everyone around, in which case they don't deserve any good treatment at all.
