Boil, steam or microwave for plain cauliflower as a side dish. Or use it as part of a stir-fry.
Or make cauliflower cheese -- chop up cauliflower into suitably sized chunks and cook until just tender. Put into a casserole dish or similar. Make a good amount of cheese sauce and pour over the cauliflower -- should come up to the top of the cauliflower in the dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and stick in a hot oven until the cheese sauce is bubbling away and the breadcrumbs are toasty. Optionally include lots of bacon. Lots of recipes if you google "cauliflower cheese".
I agree. Cauliflower cheese (=In macaroni cheese) is the ONLY way to eat cauliflower.
It's the only way I'll eat cauliflower, anyway.
To make cheese sauce, a generous amount for one person... put about half a cup of milk in a small saucepan, stir in a small tablespoon or so of flour and bring to boil, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon (or plastic, or whatever, but wood is easiest) It should get thick like making custard. Add more milk or flour as necessary. Grate up a lot of cheese, cheddar is good, or use pre-grated parmesan. I like to use about half a cup of grated cheese, or about a tablespoon of parmesan (it's stronger). Turn down the heat to simmer and stir in the cheese. Stir until the cheese melts (This should be about a minute) then scrape out of the pot onto the chopped cauliflower/pasta/fish/whatever.
