first line meme, and promoting kokeshi dolls
For 'tag' purposes, I'm mentioning that I sketched and wrote a drabble for Severus Snape's birthday in lupin_snape which can be found here. G and, of course, has a bit of Lupin/Snape.

The First Lines Meme was something I hesitated to do mostly because I know I suck at first lines no matter how many days (days!) I slave away with the introduction. This meme, which I grabbed from stoicstella here takes the first lines of the first fic done for each month. Mostly, I also realized I have more drabbles than I thought, especially for Yami no Matsuei.
January, 2006:
When the servant moves to staunch the wounds, the master quickly impedes. "I'll not let you die!" the servant shouts.
- Yami no Matsuei: "The price of freedom"
February, 2006:
Tsuzuki found the boy sitting next to his frail sister in their hospital room. "Hey," he greeted, "there’s no need to be sad."

March, 2006:
He had already forgotten about the two girls who rushed past him and into his office; instead, he concentrated on keeping a quick yet steady march.

Within seven short years of traveling, Ronald Weasley was surprised he had apparently run out of places to go to.

I didn't include the fics I wrote for the exchanges on December 2006, mostly because I can't remember when I started writing them. Especially the one for snupin_santa, which I worked on intermittently for around 3 months or so.

Will be going to Dumaguete on Monday next week for research. I hope I'll still have money by then. I get embarrassed when I have to ask my parents for a loan. It only means I have to find a job that'll go with the current one that I have right now.
In other news, I was invited to go to Tabon Caves for excavation! *dies* I am scared to death that I'll somehow mess it all up, and I'm half-hoping (actually, three-fourths-hoping!) that it won't push through, mainly because I think I still need more time to hone my field analysis skills. In the meantime, the department has been airing Time Team every lunchtime so we can comment on their strategies.
