Be careful what you ask for

Scratch that last post.

Random, not expected, gift from God. Working at Sam Ash can pay off. I'm getting sponsored to go to Brazil for as long as I want, which will only be a few weeks in the summer, but I'm more than satisfied with that.

I'll send you a postcard.

Curitiba, Brazil in July. Thank you.

Are you SERIOUS! That is 100% cool. :) Lucky you! I've been getting more and more interested in South America lately. We have a large Latin community in our church and I totally love them all. :) What country are you from, by the way?

I'm from Switzerland.

Thanks! I'm so excited. If you're interested in going, I am staying with a Brazilion pastor who does intensive discipleship training. They are all so gracious there. He seems to be very connected in Columbia and Brazil and I'm sure he could set you up with anything you're interested in.

Swiss people are cool. :) I didn't expect that answer though--you've got dark hair! My dorm head is from Sweden but lived in Switzerland for many years. She's mostly americanized by now though. :)

Wow, thanks for the info--I really appreciate that. :D If God gives me the leading I'd probably go visit Equador or Peru--my ministry has churches there and I personally have friends in those places. I watched a video over Easter weekend about a mission trip to Caracas, Venezuela... wow. Just the response of people on the street to the Gospel really caught my heart. ♥ That was the first time I felt drawn to go to that part of the world--up till now I've been thinking mostly about eastern europe.

Yeah Eastern Europe is where my heart is, but I'm not going to pass up the oppurutnity to learn and see a new place. I still have to get through school before I can think about anything long term. Plus I want to study scripture more and get more grounded. I'm getting a degree in International Relations and once I'm done, I want to get in deep over there.

You live in Baltimore, right? One of my best friends lives there right now.
