ooc: The post is open to im_ironman, manorly_wayne, not_a_savage, parkerpete, luthor_legacy, rodofasclepius, and starcityqueen Due to several different ooc reasons, this weekend has been pushed back a few times, and it's plot necessary that it be snowing like a mofo so. Handwaving will ensue and here lies a freak snowstorm. Stranger things have happened, just talk to the people who got the hurricane in Maine last year.

Normally Chloe would have to push Oliver on to his jet to go play boarding school alumni reunion, but well this was something he knew he had to go. Harry had managed to get his shit together enough to get accepted to medical school. It was a pretty huge accomplishment. There was also the fact that he was worried about how well Wayne and Stark were going to be able play together while in the same place. It was odd when he and Luthor were on the same page, but it was just so obvious that shit wasn't okay with Wayne. Tony was a bundle of temperamental outbursts on any day, but Wayne was just off ( ... )

It was rare for Tony to fly in his jet without his flight attendants parading in front of him, or dancing on the pole, or at the very least flirting. And this time, well, it wasn't that they didn't try to get his attention but it was more of the fact that he didn't notice or care. For one, there were far too many things on his mind. There were things he needed to work on, upgrades on the suit he had to continue doing and working on the new projects for Stark Expo ( ... )

Harry was making his rounds, checking on drinks, making sure everyone was fine. When Tony arrived, he excused himself from his guests and approached. Tony might be good at hiding his feelings, but this was Harry. Harry who was majoring in Psychology. Harry who didn't need to take a single Psychology class to know Tony was as thrilled about spending a weekend here as he would be to hang out with a dentist and a drill.

Actually, given the state of how things seemed to be with Bruce and Tony lately, maybe Tony would prefer the drill.

"Hey, Tony. How was your flight?"

He offered a bright smile. It was his everything was A okay smile. There is definite power in being the youngest. Yep yep.

"I'll show you to your room." Your room that you get to have solo. Yep, a room all to yourself, Tony. See? It's all okay!

You're damn right he'd prefer the drill. And this was someone who had a thing against anything, and anyone, with any sort of lab coat.

"It was good." He smirked that naughty bachelor boy smile. "The in-flight entertainment helped."

It wasn't like Harry would know that he had spent most of his flight being short and quiet with his responses.

As they walked to the room, Tony looked around and raised an eyebrow. He had to hand it to the kid's wife, she had done a pretty good job finding a good place to spend the weekend.

"So how've you been, kid? All ready for some skiing?"

See, Harry, aren't you proud? Tony can play along with the It's All Okay mood.

"I knew I should have went with the stripper pole upgrade on the jet. I'm not sure what the kids would think of it though." He opened the door to Tony's room, and stood to the side so Tony could get settled in. The mention of the kids thing made him wonder if he'd gotten the DNA test yet or not.

Given that Tony was wanting to keep things quiet though, he wasn't going to bring it up.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, he watched as Tony put his stuff away.

"Yeah. Long flight so I figured we'd chill out tonight, but the snow looks great for tomorrow. I've been good. How about you? The Stark Expo looks like it will be fantastic."

Friday arrivals osborn_heir April 9 2010, 06:16:45 UTC
The snow is flowing heavy on Friday, and predicted to be worse on Saturday. Harry flips on the weather channel every now and then to check how things are in between playing host to his guests.

He isn't planning to do much skiing until Saturday since he figures most people will be tired from the long flight. Plus he's keeping an eye out for the guests as they arrive.

Whenever the door opens and someone walks in, he's quick to approach with a smile.

Jack hurried as quickly as he could given the weather conditions. It had been a good deal of time since he had driven in snow, and while the instinct was still there, it was apparent that his new home had become LA rather than Boston. In hindsight, it amazed him that he had more trouble with driving to the chateau than handling the flight, but that was life. If that was the most unpredictable things got for a while, he'd consider himself lucky.

He's not sure if where he parks his rental car is even a proper spot, but it doesn't matter. It's cold, the wind is blowing, and it's very difficult to see. Jack would rather just walk inside, but thinks the better of it and removes his suitcase from the trunk first. After doing so he closes the trunk and pulls the suitcase to the front door. He prays that the door is unlocked. Thankfully, it is, and he pushes the door open, closing it quickly behind him.

The first face he sees is Harry's who he looks at with both appreciation and embarrassment. "Sorry I'm late."

The snow is coming down bad. Really bad. Harry had been worried about the flights, and was grateful to see Jack when he arrived. One of the first things they had bonded over was surviving plane crashes.

There was a smile on his face when he approached Jack.

"Hey, it's fine. I hope the flight was alright. I can't believe how bad the weather is getting. Here I was worried we wouldn't have snow enough to ski." He looked out at the window briefly and shook his head. It looked like there might be too much snow if it didn't slow down.

"We're bunking together. Do you want a drink before I show you our room?"

The anxious feeling was quickly soothed by Harry smile. This was his party, and Jack had every confidence that Harry meant what he said.

"Sounds good," then to clarify, he added, "Both do, but the drinks especially right now. He grinned, shifting his weight from foot to foot as his body warmed to the inside temperature. "I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I have to ask. You wouldn't happen to have some Scotch around, would you?"

Bruce goes straight from a fight with Vesper to making up with Vesper to a guest appearance as a celebrity judge on Top Model: Gotham (the girl from Kentucky didn't make it through, she cried so hard her body shook) to a guest appearance as, well, Bruce doesn't turn up at Bye Bye Birdie, the bar known for being a favourite late night meeting place for Maroni, friends of Maroni and friends of the friends of Maroni ( ... )

Oh, Bruce. You should have just knocked. Harry was used to being up and down with kids. He wouldn't have complained about getting up to let you in. If you woke up the others, maybe they would have complained, but not Harry.

It's a little after seven when Harry is up. No one else seems to be awake, so he heads down to make some coffee. The snow is coming down harder now. If it doesn't slow down it could easily go from great skiing weather to no one wants to go out in it weather.

He starts the coffee, figuring Lex will probably be up not long after him. Lex used to wake up early when they would share the same space. It seems like a lifetime ago.

The lights are on in the kitchen and the living room area so it's likely Bruce may notice that before Harry notices there's a car out there. He ponders calling Bruce to see if everything is alright. The news reports on the latest fight with Vesper had been pretty vicious, but Harry figures if Bruce wanted to be here, he'd be here.

Something must have come up.

It's relaxing in the car. Chopin is finished so he clicks over to Bach. Cello Suite No.5 in C minor - he could play this by heart ten years ago, no, more - now - well - he was a different person then.

If Mendelssohn belonged to his mother then this belongs to Ra's. He doesn't turn it off, he lets it wash over him, visualises the music as it runs through his mind, till he's not thinking of Ra's at all - although Ra's is the music and the music is Ra's and so it's all he's thinking of.

The pain in his shoulder throbs (that's what happens when you hang off a forty story building by one arm), the pain in his arm where the bullet hit is warm, more encompassing. It's warm and giving and infinitely painful, like listening to Suite No.5.

He likes that warmth. He always has.

Harry is on the second cup of coffee when he walks over to the door to check the snow first hand. He likes the cold. He's a born and raised New York city boy who landed in Gotham. The cold is easier to adjust to than the severe heat. Not that he doesn't like the heat, but it's usually when he's at one of his beach houses.

The snow really is coming down now, and Harry isn't sure what to think of it. It's April after all.

It takes him a second to realize there's a vehicle running. When he does, he assumes it must be someone who is lost. Instead, when he approaches, he knocks on the window, peers inside and sees...

"Bruce?!"

The precarious weather is causing havoc with cell phone and Internet reception. The connection is intermittent, unreliable at best. When messages come through they come through all at once - when you try to return them it takes several attempts and even then you’re fortunate to be able to finish a quick conversation ( ... )

One.

One short message, to the point. The tone as cold as ice.

“It seems like you’ve been an even busier boy than I could have ever imagined. You and I need to talk, Bruce. And I wouldn’t stall if I were you - I’m a little sick of your bat-shit. You’ve got, well, you’ve got until my show tonight to have your say - after that, we’ll let the people make up their minds. I can’t wait to hear what they think ( ... )

There's something about having to be stuck in a cabin, with no real connection to the real world, that makes Tony's skin crawl. At least he's not by alone, but damn if it doesn't make his anxiety levels rise. On the good days, when even he believes the fact that he's fine and normal, he would never even dream of saying he's claustrophobic, he would never admit that the idea of being trapped terrifies him, that to this day there are still flashbacks to that cave as if he's there enough to make him feel the cold bone deep ( ... )

Models and Hawaii. Bruce would like to Model and Hawaii Tony Stark's face. OK, that doesn't make much sense but, hell, Bruce isn't feeling very sensible. He's feel the adrenaline of a thousand men running through his veins - which in itself isn't such an alien sensation - but generally the Batman has immense self control.

Right now he's feeling very little.

The fact is, there are a million little things that are life or death situations. Everything has consequences and there are people that need the consequences only The Batman can make ( ... )
