You know that dream that "everyone" has?

The one where you're naked in public, like school or work or something? I've never had that dream. Until last night. But it wasn't so much public as it was my back yard (though it looked completely different even though IRL instead of having windows, I have a patio door that actually does lead to the back yard). And at first I felt perfectly comfortable. But then I realized the light was on in my room behind me and then there were some random people cutting through my backyard and the next-door neighbors (on the side which IRL there are no next-door neighbors) were sleeping in their huge king sized bed which was out on their patio.

So when I realized all of these things, I tried to back up into my room, but the door was a bit farther away than I realized. Instead, I tried to pull some curtains down and wrap them around me. But I don't think I actually got too far with that.

Instead, my mind must have just been like, Done with this shit. NEXT! Because then I was sitting in some outdoor patio or lounge, maybe a rooftop somewhere. I was dressed in an evening gown (with sequins, which I would NEVER EVER wear IRL, EWWWWW). I was waiting for someone to show up so I could give him something, or get something from him; it wasn't really all that clear at that point. But Eames showed up \o/ and turns out I was giving him back a navy suit jacket that he'd left with me. It was delicious and warm.

But after giving it back, we basically said our goodbyes and went in different directions.

Sigh. My mind is such a tease.

In other news, I actually got some work done on unpacking. The whole of July (in addition to being pretty busy and kind of insanely fangirly) was just wayyy to humid to unpack. So other than my bed, clothes, radio and laptop, I have basically been living among boxes. Part of it was because of some indecision as to how to arrange my furniture. My room is a bit smaller than my previous one, and though there's plenty of room for all my stuff, I also like the minimalist aesthetic. I'm a ridiculous contradiction when it comes to this.

In any case, I decided I wanted to get rid of one of my two bookcases so that there would be more open space in my room. Which, shockingly, I was able to do! The second one is still there for now, and we might put it in the living room, but I have a whole box of books and manga that I'll be giving away/selling/etc. I did find another box of "books" that has all my Zetsuai artbooks and Buck-Tick scorebooks, but there's just no way I'm ready or willing to get rid of those. I'll probably leave them in the box and shove it under the bed or in the closet. Baby steps, okay?

I also put up a shelf above the bookcase so all my Sora (from Kindgom Hearts) figures are up there, along with some other random figures (including Data & Picard)! =D So that corner of the room is almost doneski. I put up curtains as well, which is nice.

BTW, USING THE DRILL TO PUT UP SHELVES AND CURTAIN ROD HOLDERS WAS ACTUALLY REALLY FUN. YAY POWER TOOLS!

I really can't wait to tackle all the other stuff. I think I'm going to have to return a few things to Ikea and rethink some storage options. As per AJ's suggestion, I got rid of a whole bunch of CD cases (putting them into a CD book instead), but I'm not quite ready to do the same with my DVDs (of which I don't really own that many) or my Buck-Tick CD/DVD collection (of which I do).

I'm mostly at a loss as to what to do with my towels. I don't really want to put shelves up in the bathroom, but that seems the most efficient way/place to store them.

...and stopping here abruptly, yay! (I did say this would be babble...)
