Chapter Two Now Available
I have uploaded the second chapter of Shadow of the Spire, posted in two sections. As the story begins, we spend a little time with Cara Landry as she tries to reassociate the fuzzy memories of her younger years with the more immediate needs of today. She attempts to relax and spend time with her son, getting to know him again after two years of institutionalization a thousand miles away. Her recent dreams, combined with the repressed memories of her old stomping grounds, are beginning to renew a sense of urgency within her, and she quickly realizes that her son may not have been as insulated as she wants to believe.
As we get to know her, we will learn more and more about the obtuse shadows that lurk in the recesses of her psyche. Cara's internal strength and resolve interact with a unique and often amusing perspective on the world around her, and she quickly becomes a person we enjoy knowing, if preferably from a distance.
