One more day teaching elementary music.  I was supposed to be done last week, but someone else in the music teacher's family died.  Inconvenient, what?  Turns out this lady was a fairly important public figure with a lot of connections.  I did not realize this until I showed up to play piano at the wake and discovered that the room was stuffed full ( Read more... )

Actually, I already downloaded (it took, like, 10 seconds. Sometimes I love modern technology :) it, and it is ridiculously hard. I failed miserably and had to play Where in the USA to redeem myself.

It's the one I grew up on :) Skip Tumelu and Claire Voyant are tricky ones.

The copy protection is hard to get around. To get a promotion not only do you have to know the answer to their test question, but you have to phrase it exactly as it is written in the ``What Happened When'' book that originally came with the game. I lost my copy... or it's probably in Houston somewhere. Do you have a version of the game without this promotion test?

Hmm, I don't know if it has the promotion test or not. I, uh, haven't gotten that far. I kinda gave up after the first few minutes. It took me awhile to figure out the timeline on the bottom; now that I've gotten the hang of it and won't accidentally travel to the wrong times, I should probably give it another try and see if I need the promotion book.
